Mentor Program: Mentor Application

MENTORS ONLY

As business professionals, you can offer Walsh students the benefit of your experience! You may be able to give students career path advice and share insights you have gained along the way.

Students and mentors will be matched for six months. If both parties agree, the relationship can continue. Mentors may request a new match in a future semester.

Requirements:

  • Complete our Mentor Program application
  • Commit a minimum of four hours of your time
  • Ask for advice on your career path via a method of communication best suited for you and your mentor (email, LinkedIn, texting, phone, in-person meetings, Zoom), depending on preferences and availability

*Participation in the program depends on the number of students/mentors who have applied with similar interests; an application does not guarantee that you will be matched with a mentee.

*This program is designed to support your personal and professional growth. It is not intended to serve as an avenue for hiring, result in a promise of employment, or be used for transacting business.

What major would you prefer your mentee have?(Required)
Did you graduate from Walsh?(Required)
What skills are you interested in sharing? Check all that apply.(Required)

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND WAIVER: I understand that participation in the Walsh College mentor/student mentorship program is voluntary for both the mentor and the student and can be terminated at the will of either the mentor or the student. In addition, I understand that no mentor is an agent of Walsh College and therefore in no way acts on behalf of or can bind the College. I further understand that the individual mentorship relationships are not a formal part of Walsh College’s curriculum or operations, and are therefore not subject to Walsh College’s control and oversight, but rather the quality and details of the each mentorship are dependent on the relationship developed by the mentor and the student on their own. Consequently, by participating in this program as a mentor or a student, I agree that Walsh College and its agents shall not be directly or indirectly liable to any mentor or student (or their respective heirs or representatives) with respect to a) their mentor/student relationship, or b) for the acts or omissions of any mentor or student arising from a mentorship relationship. As a part of this agreement, I also waive and release Walsh College and its agents from any liability with respect to such claims that I may have with respect to my mentor/student relationship. Walsh College does not do background checks of mentors or students. Participants in the mentorship program are expected to conduct themselves professionally. Walsh College cannot guarantee the quality or skill sets of the mentors. The College should be contacted immediately if an issue arises.(Required)
