Career Services Staff Earns CPRW Distinction

Prepared to Help You Stand Out

Walsh College Career Services Director Brenda Paine, along with Career Services advisors Cheryl Carr and Tracy Morgan, officially earned the distinction of Certified Professional Résumé Writers (CPRW) by the Professional Association of Résumé Writers & Career Coaches (PARW/CC) on July 26, 2016.

Walsh College joins a short list of Michigan-based colleges with PARW/CC designated CPRW on staff to help students and alumni reach their professional career goals. "This certification further demonstrates our expertise in this subject matter. The students and alumni who seek out our services have worked very hard in pursuit of their Walsh College credentials,” Paine said.

“Our job is to help them prepare for their careers by highlighting their unique accomplishments and skills, and to deliver a polished and professional résumé and cover letter that will compel employers to call them.

“We talk to employers every day and know what they are looking for in a résumé.”

Our CPRW certification illustrates our commitment to Walsh students and alumni. Attaining certification is a demanding, three-day process that includes a two-hour online test, along with creating different types of cover letters and résumés.

Walsh College Career Services offers numerous programs exclusively for its for-credit students and alumni free of charge, including résumé reviews and participation in career fairs, where employers who have open positions can meet with job candidates.
