Walsh offers a Certified Treasury Professional® (CTP) exam preparation course at the Troy location. This unique classroom-based program is the only one of its kind in Michigan taught with the official AFP Treasury Learning System™.

The AFP Treasury Learning System is a comprehensive professional development and exam preparation program based on the Essentials of Treasury Management®, Fifth Edition – the official body of knowledge (BOK) tested on the CTP exam.

The CTP Exam Prep course is offered twice a year: winter and fall. Both sessions are held at the Troy location. Class meets once a week from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The course cost is $1,595.00. Early bird and Walsh student/alumni discounts are available.

Course Topics

The CTP Examination is based on concepts and experiences in relation to treasury management. Each question on the CTP exam is derived from the body of knowledge, Essentials of Treasury Management, Fifth Edition.

The Essentials of Treasury Management was developed by a panel of experts to reflect the significant role treasury professionals take in their organization and the global capital markets. Mastery of the best practices and roles defined in this work, as demonstrated through the CTP ensures that professionals are prepared for the changing requirements of the profession.

Six learning modules are:

  1. Module 1: Introduction to Treasury Management
  2. Module 2: The Treasury Management Environment
  3. Module 3: Financial Reporting and Analysis
  4. Module 4: Working Capital Management
  5. Module 5: Risk Management
  6. Module 6: Financial Management
