Walsh’s state-of-the-art finance lab is a real-world business solutions center. You’ll get hands-on experience with the latest technology, research tools, and databases to help you solve problems found both inside and outside the classroom.

The finance lab features a full-color LED ticker with a continuous live feed of current stock prices, an interactive Rise Market Wall with global financial market data, and dual-screen Bloomberg terminals to analyze business information.

Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC)

  • 10 hour self-paced e-learning course
  • Four core concept modules – Economic Indicators, Currencies, Fixed Income, and Equities
  • Certificate provided upon successful completion
  • Available on any Bloomberg terminal – bring your headphones

FactSet Knowledge Base

  • 40 hours of self-paced web-based content
  • Learn to use Excel for Financial Modeling
  • Chapters end with quiz questions to test understanding
  • Certificate provided upon successful completion
  • Available to any active Walsh student (see a Finance Lab assistant to obtain FactSet login)

The lab is open from 3-9 PM Monday – Thursday, Friday – Saturday 10 AM – 2 PM.

The finance lab is open to all students and alumni.

The finance lab opened on January 9, 2013.

The finance lab has Bloomberg, FactSet and SPSS.

Yes, the software can be accessed in the Troy campus library.  FactSet software can be accessed via the internet by currently-enrolled Walsh College students.  Please see a Finance Lab assistant for further information.
