Human Resource Management Certificate

Walsh’s Human Resource Management certificate program enables you to enhance your knowledge of the human resources practices and skills in a wide variety of organizational settings. Three of the four courses in the HRM Certificate program involve HR projects relevant to the workplace – an HR audit, a learning and development initiative, and an HR strategic plan.

Students benefit from our unique course design which focuses extensively on the SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge (BASK). This focus prepares our students for the SHRM certification exam. Candidates for the SHRM-CP certification are not required to hold an HR title and do not need previous HR experience to apply to take the exam. However, a degree from an Academically Aligned program, such as our Master of Science in Management (MSM), is recommended.

The courses in our HRM Certificate program are the same courses offered Master of Science in Management (MSM) program. Beyond using the SHRM BASK (the common framework for the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exam questions), Walsh also offers SHRM-CP® and SHRM-SCP® exam prep programs.

Admission Criteria

Applicants must possess an undergraduate degree from a college or university regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
