  • James J. Krolik, SPHR, PhD is an adjunct faculty member with Walsh College.  He teaches both graduate and undergraduate level classes at Walsh College in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior. 

    Dr. Krolik’s background includes middle management responsibilities at two area health care organizations.  His professional background in HR includes staffing; training and development; union relations, and employee relations.  In addition, he was Executive Director for an accelerated undergraduate degree completion program and Dean of Graduate Studies at a Detroit area business college. His prior experience also includes assisting graduate students into corporate career positions at the University of Michigan.

    Dr. Krolik earned his doctorate from the University of Michigan.  His master’s and undergraduate degrees were earned at Eastern Michigan University.  His special interest is career development in organizations.  He has presented workshops on career development at academic and professional conferences.

    Dr. Krolik has the SPHR certification from the Society for Human Resource Management.  He attends national and state HRM conferences as well as Employment Law and Employee Relations workshops.

    Currently, Dr. Krolik is an Instructor in the Management Department at Eastern Michigan University.  He teaches undergraduate and graduate level classes in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior.

    Dr. Krolik is a member of the society for human resource management, the WorldatWork, and the International Personnel Management Association- HR.  He also serves on the Board for Spaulding for Children, an organization for special needs children needing adoption and foster care.
