    Professional Activities
    Dr. Bailey is a past chair of the Authorized Provider Commission of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). As chair from 2006-2008, she managed a 35-member volunteer Commission that evaluated applications and conducted site visits for organizations wishing to be accredited as Authorized Providers of Continuing Education and Training and meeting the IACET/ANSI standard.  She was responsible for leading the changes to the Commission Bylaws and Policies and Procedures, and streamlining the processes for managing the approval process.  She also served as a member of the Commission for six years.

    Previous to taking on the Commission chair role, Dr. Bailey served on the IACET Board of Directors for nine years. She participated on several major task forces, including the Distance Learning and History Task Forces. In 2007, she was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for her many years of service to the association. 

    Dr. Bailey is semi-retired.  She worked as an e-learning consultant and instructional designer of web-based training programs for twelve years.  She has designed and developed online courses for a variety of major companies throughout the United States. She has also developed classroom instruction and user guides for pharmaceutical, advertising, automotive, semiconductor, and financial organizations, as well as companies involved in other industries. 

    She also has over 28 years of experience in the training industry in a variety of roles: editing and managing the production, printing, and mailings of marketing materials, customer newsletters, and catalogs; writing and editing technical documents including proposals, manuals, and instructional guides; and conducting customer satisfaction and marketing visits with major clients.

    Dr. Bailey also taught technical writing for her employer, a major international technical training company, which developed and taught the course for General Motors Corporation.

    Dr. Bailey has taught Business Communication courses at Walsh College from 1984 – 1997 and from 2002 to present.
