                Specific course needs include accounting information systems (QuickBooks, Peachtree, Great Plans, and MS Office) and communications for accounting.

    Position:     Vice President, Chief Enrollment Management & Marketing Officer

    Reports to:  President & CEO                            

    Primary Responsibilities: 

    • Provide institutional leadership of marketing, public relations, enrollment management, and related student services functions. 

    • Design and implement a comprehensive enrollment strategy and plan that attracts qualified new students, integrates marketing and recruiting initiatives, and leverages faculty and staff expertise.

    • Advance and reinforce the College’s brand position as an institution of distinction.   

    • Design, execute, and evaluate integrated marketing plans that include advertising, digital, website, publications, testimonials, webinars, and public relations.

    • Develop and maximize resources of significant marketing budget; track, analyze, and present results. 

    • Enhance current and build new relationships with partner institutions, employers, and other organizations.

    • Ensure appropriate media coverage for the College. Act as the primary media liaison and spokesperson.

    • Select and manage external consulting services.

    • Play a key role in developing annual enrollment goals and pricing strategy.

    • Plan or assist in planning and implementing major College events.

    • Provide marketing support to all College functions.

    • Ensure brand compliance throughout the organization.

    • Conduct or oversee market research; utilize competitive analyses and environmental scanning to inform strategy. 

    • Participate in academic program feasibility studies.

    • Prepare and deliver presentations to the Board of Trustees and other constituents.

    • As an executive officer, contribute to strategic visioning and planning; operational planning and coordination; communication and organization culture building; philanthropic endeavors; and trustee, Foundation director, and donor relations.


    Minimum Requirements:  
     

    • Collaborative leader with a track record of systems thinking and building synergy across teams required.

    • Possesses the demeanor and presence to earn the respect of others and represent the College.

    • Significant related experience at the executive level required.

    • A track record of creating effective brand strategies required.

    • A bachelor’s degree is required; master’s degree preferred.

    • Experience in managing and prioritizing significant marketing budget required.

    • Superior written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills required.

    • Ability to function in both analytical and creative capacities required.

    • Knowledge of related best practices required.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects required.

    • Experience in higher education or marketing a similar product is preferred.

    • Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of Walsh College required.

    Position: Part-time Testing Assistant – 22 hours/week

    Reports to: Coordinator, Student Outcomes Assessment and Testing Center

    FLSA: Non-exempt

    Major Responsibilities:
    • Administer a variety of tests (paper and electronic) to groups and individuals, including those with special needs.
    • Ensure optimal and secure testing conditions for all clientele.
    • Uphold the security and confidentiality of tests and records, scoring procedures, and data collection. Abide by all FERPA regulations.
    • Schedule and monitor testing appointments.
    • Closely monitor and update testing calendar.
    • Track completed assessments as directed.
    • Score tests and record results in database.
    • Check in examinees, verifying identification.
    • Serve as a proctor for a variety of testing activities.
    • Present instructions verbally to test takers, following established procedures.
    • Monitor test taker behavior and disqualify examination as needed; resolve or report test irregularities.
    • Answer inquiries regarding types of tests offered and hours of Testing Center operations.
    • Assist Coordinator, Student Outcomes Assessment and Testing Center, as needed.
    • Perform general office functions.

    Minimum Requirements:
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • One year of office, higher education, or the equivalent in experience and education required.
    • Accurate data entry and recordkeeping skills required.
    • Intermediate Word, Excel, and Internet skills required. Additional computer skills a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
    • Good written and oral communication skills required.
    • Track record of good customer or student service strongly desired.
    • Ability to comprehend and follow detailed written instructions, then clearly present instructions.
    • Ability to interact with all organizational levels.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Prior test administration related experience a plus.
    • Must be available to work Monday through Thursday evenings, 3:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
    • Must be able to provide coverage during daytime hours Monday through Saturday,
    8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. on occasion as needed.
    • Must be able to travel on occasion to the Novi Campus and the University Center at Macomb Community College.
    • Current or prospective Walsh students are NOT eligible for this position.

     Position: Part-time Librarian
    Reports to: Director, Library
    FLSA: Non-exempt

    Major Responsibilities:
    • Provide reference services, online searching and individual instruction to patrons.
    • Assist in creating and maintaining library research guides (LibGuides).
    • Keep current with library databases, search features and general reference sources.
    • Create online tutorials.
    • Develop and deliver library related presentations, as requested
    • Assist at Circulation Desk, as necessary.

    Minimum Requirements:
    • MS in Library Science or equivalent degree from an ALA accredited institution required.
    • Ability to develop and deliver library based instruction in the classroom, to small groups, and individuals that are appropriate to the learner.
    • Camtasia or Captivate knowledge required.
    • Strong track record of patron service required.
    • Proficiency with online databases, Internet searches, and library related technology required.
    • Excellent organizational skills required.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and presentation communication skills required.
    • Knowledge of business collection a plus.
    • Must be available to work Sunday afternoons and some evenings.
    • Must be able to work at Troy and Novi campuses.

     Position: Part-time Video Intern (temporary)

    Reports to: Director of Marketing

    FLSA: Non-exempt

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for recording and editing videos and taking photographs for the marketing department which is responsible for a wide range of functions.

    • Video production:

      Assist in coordinating videotaping events, which will include: college events, student/alumni testimonials, staff and faculty informational videos, and ad hoc video post-production projects for the college.

      Handle all pre- and post-production to complete videos, including approval process (internal College approval and waivers from those appearing in the film).

      Post video content on College website and College YouTube channel.
    • Photography:

      Attend College events, often evening and weekend, to take photographs using department camera
      Take headshots of College faculty
      Make edits and enhancements to photographs as needed

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Pursuing a video production, photography, or related degree at an articulated community college (www.walshcollege.edu/Transfer)
    • Experience with digital video recording, digital cameras, and production techniques
    • Access to video production software for editing and post-production. Video camera and digital camera provided.
    • Must be available to work up to 20 hours per week and cover occasional evening and weekend events.
    • Intermediate knowledge of websites and YouTube as related to the video posting process.
    • Video and photography samples will be requested during the interview process.
    • Strong desire and ability to learn quickly and independently required.

    Position: Part-time Marketing & PR Intern (temporary)

    Reports to: Marketing Manager

    FLSA: Non-exempt

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Provide support to marketing and PR department which is responsible for a wide range of functions.

    • Assist in coordinating events and advertising campaigns, college events calendar, vendor relations, webinars, marketing research, marketing communications, website updates, copywriting/proofreading, and social media.   
    •  

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Candidate must be a Walsh College student pursuing a marketing major at the bachelor’s degree level or degreed alumni.

    • Must be available to work 20 hours per week and cover occasional evening and weekend events (will schedule around courses).

    • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task required.

    • Strong written and proofreading communication skills required.

    • Intermediate knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. (Work or academic samples will be requested during the interview process).

    • Strong desire and ability to learn quickly required.

    • Strong knowledge of Walsh College programs required.

    • Marketing, social media, or Web design experience a plus.
