Each January and June, Walsh College holds commencement ceremonies to confer bachelor and masters degrees to our graduating students. Cap & gown ordering & cost

  • You can purchase your gown:
    • Troy & Novi Bookstores  Now-January 23
  • Cost: 
    • Bachelor $35.98 + tax
    • Master $71.96 + tax
    • Includes cap, gown, tassel, master hood (if applicable)

Graduation fairs

The fairs are usually held at Troy and Novi.  While at the fair you can:
  • Complete your commencement participation form, purchase cap & gown, pick up guest tickets
  • Order your official class ring, announcements
  • Purchase your diploma frame
  • Enter to win $25 Barnes & Noble gift card, Walsh t-shirt, or travel mug (one entry per person)
  • Learn about Career Services, WCAA, and Blackstone LaunchPad

Tickets

  • Varies by ceremony and depends on the number of candidates attending.  (Seven tickets will be given to participants for the January 2012 ceremony.)
  • There is no cost for the tickets.

Recommended dress

  • Women - suit or dress
  • Men - dress pants, dress shirt, tie

Student speaker and flag bearer nominations

  • Student speakers: 
    Nominees will be contacted by phone with audition information and dates.  One or two students will be selected by a committee to speak.  For the January 2012 ceremony, please send your name and contact information to Donna Mirabito by December 1. 
  • Flag bearers: 
    Flags representing a cross section of countries parade into the auditorium before the ceremony.  For the January 2012 ceremony, if you're interested in carrying a flag send your name and contact information to Liesl Scullen by December 16.
