That’s why we’ve gathered important links—like student registration, academic calendar, and the Walsh Portal—and information you might need. At Walsh, we do our best to take care of you so whether you walk in or log on, it feels like coming home.

Registration Process

Complete the following steps to complete the registration process:


Meet with an Academic Advisor and/or view your program plan in the Walsh Student Portal to see which classes are still needed.


Verify that you meet the prerequisites for the course(s) before you register. Prerequisites can be found in the Walsh catalog or in the Walsh Student Portal.


Check the academic calendar for important semester dates.


Know the tuition due dates.

To view the schedule of classes:
  1. Please visit WebAdvisor directly
  2. Click Students> Search for Sections

To register for classes:

  1. Log into the Portal
  2. Click WebAdvisor for Students> Registration
  3. Click Registration> Register for Classes
  4. Accept Financial Responsibility Agreement
  5. Click Search and Register for Classes
    • Register for fall, THEN winter, etc. to avoid registration errors.
    • Instructors and advisors do not register, add, drop or withdraw students from courses.
    • If you are unable to register through WebAdvisor, please contact Records & Registration at records@walshcollege.edu or 248.823.1660

Schedule of Classes

To view the classes offered, log into the Portal.

  1. Click WebAdvisor for Students > Registration/Drop/Withdrawal
  2. Click Students > Search for Classes.
  3. Search for Classes
  4. If you can’t login to the Portal and would like to see the class schedule, please visit WebAdvisor directly.

Student Complaint Policy and Procedures

Walsh provides opportunities for students to register complaints through an informal or formal process. 

An informal or verbal complaint is handled in the functional area related to the complaint. Students may submit a formal complaint using the Student Complaint Form that may be accessed by logging in to the Student Portal and clicking on the "Student Complaint Form" link located under "My Bookmarks." Read the Student Complaint Policy and Procedures.

Ordering Official Transcripts

Walsh is pleased to announce a new transcript service for students and alumni. Walsh has partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse to offer an online option for ordering and receiving official transcripts. Transcripts ordered online can be delivered by email, U. S. Mail, or held for pickup at the Troy location.

  • The processing fee for an electronic PDF version of official Walsh transcripts is $5.00. This charge is paid directly to the National Student Clearinghouse, not to Walsh. 
  • Email and text notifications let you know the status of your eTranscript request. 
  • Walsh continues to produce and mail paper transcripts free of charge. 
  • Requests will be processed within 24-48 business hours. A Transcript Request Form can be submitted to the Records & Registration office. 
  • Requests for transcripts cannot be accepted via phone. 
  • Official transcripts will not be provided for those with outstanding financial obligations. The eTranscript service is not available for students who last attended Walsh before 1990.

How to Access the Walsh Portal

The Walsh Portal gives you access to your Walsh email, Online Courses, WebAdvisor (where you can register for classes) and other important resources. 

If you are logging in the first time or can't remember your login ID and/or password

  1. Click Login ID and enter the required information to obtain your username.
  2. Click Change/Reset Password*** to set up your password.
  3. Login to the Walsh Portal.
  4. Once logged in, you can register by selecting "Registration/Drop/Withdrawal" in the WebAdvisor menu. 

Change/Reset Password

In the past, four pieces of information were used to reset your password:

  1. Last name
  2. User login name
  3. Date of birth
  4. Walsh ID number

Note:  If you do not remember your ID number or Security Questions, call Student Services at 248-823-1660. You will be given a PIN to reset your password.

Now when you successfully answer these fields, you will be prompted to provide answers to three security questions. Once the questions are answered, a new password can be set.

When you reset a second time, you will be automatically directed to these questions and no longer have to answer the four fields. Important: Remember the answers to these security questions!
